Owner, ​The Barker Lounge

Caitlin is the owner of The Barker Lounge, a doggie daycare and boarding facility located in the heart of Montford Park. She is also a Montford Park resident and is very passionate about the development of the neighborhood. As a small business owner and former investment banker, she brings a unique skillset to the Montford Park Partners Board and hopes to leverage her skills to benefit our residents and businesses.

 John brings years of experience as an entrepreneur to Montford Park Partners.  Prior to founding CoCoTiv, he owned and operated Interiors Marketplace and Post & Gray in South End.  As an original board member of the Charlotte Trolley and South End Development Corporation, he looks to bring the same brand awareness to Montford Park.

Mike's real estate expertise helps him to lead the Advocacy & Infrastructure committee. He is involved in bringing city recognition to the area, while actively encouraging thoughtful and responsible local planning.

​Justin Treml brings a fresh approach to the community. As a 20-year veteran, integrating into multiple neighborhoods across the globe, immersing himself into the local pulse, Justin takes the practice of being a responsible steward and activist. He brings leadership, energy, and kindness as an ambassador to the growth of Montford Park. Service drives his passion for people and lending a helping hand. Justin is an alumnus of Johns Hopkins University and works in policy and development at Wells Fargo. He lives in Montford Park and is an ambassador for the evolution here in Charlotte.

COMMUNICATIONS CHAIR
Mecklenburg County Government
Leo brings a 10-year background in communications and media relations to Montford Park Partners. He currently works as a web editor for Mecklenburg County government. He previous served as a senior public information specialist for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services. As a proud resident of the Montford Park neighborhood, he enjoys supporting and building relationships with businesses in the area. ​​

Jonathan Brooks
Jonathan Brooks has lived in the Montford Park area for over ten years with his wife and two daughters. He previously worked at Bank OZK’s Park Road location, and currently works with Childress Klein’s multifamily development group. Jonathan possesses a BS in Urban Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University as well as an MS in Real Estate Finance and Development from UNC Charlotte. He is an advocate for smart growth, business development, walkability, increased density, and diversity/inclusion.​

Kevin Locke
Kevin moved to Charlotte in 2004 for grad school and just stuck around. He has lived within a 3 mile radius of Montford Park for 14 of those years and for the past five has lived in the neighboring Madison Park where enjoys playing with his dog, house projects and yard work. He loves exploring new places and trying new things.

While he started his professional life as a Marriage and Family Therapist, he has been working in Financial Services for the past 10 years.​​
